VINTAGE ICONIC TOE-JAM BY MR FIGGINS DENIM WEDGE PLATFORM SHOES - CIRCA 1970'S: ESTATE ITEM
Hello there!
For sale are these amazing original denim wedge platform shoes from the 1970's. These are from my mothers estate and are a AUS vintage size 6.5. Very rare to find original denim platform wedge shoes in similar condition.
Overall, the shoes are in good condition and wearable but could benefit from regluing the inner sole part and as mentioned softening the denim, particularly the ankle straps as they are a little stiff. The shoes have been carefully stored over many years and they are unboxed.

Size: VINTAGE AUS SIZE 6 1/2. THE SIZE IN STAMPED UNDER THE INNER SOLE WHICH HAS COME LOOSE (SEE PHOTOS). ADDITIONAL APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS BELOW TO HELP WITH SIZING
HEEL: PLATFORM WEDGE HEEL WHICH MEASURES 4CM (TOE) X 13CM (HEEL)
LENGTH (INNER): 24CM. ADDITIONAL MEASURE TOEPOINT INNERSOLE 22CM
WIDTH (INNER): 7CM APPROX.
FABRIC/TEXTILE: STAMPED SYNTHETIC SOLE, LEATHER UPPER, SYNTHENTIC LINING (SEE PHOTOS)
DENIM TOP WITH KNOT FEATURE AND SOLE WITH MATCHING DENIM ANKLE STRAPPING WHICH MEASURES ROUGHLY 66CM IN LENGTH. JUTE PLAITED ROPE FEATURES ON HEELS - EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE DENIM IS LINED WITH WHITE LEATHER.
CONDITION:VERY GOOD GIVEN THESE ARE ORIGINALS. DENIM COULD BENEFIT FROM SOME CLEANING AND SOFTENING AND AS MENTIONED ABOVE, INNER COULD BENEFIT FROM REGLUING WHICH CAN BE EASILY DONE BY A SHOE REPAIRER. THE STRAPS WERE ORIGINALLY GLUED TOGETHER WITH FABRIC GLUE, ONLY ONE IS STILL TOGETHER SO STRAPS COULD BENEFIT FROM REGLUING HOWEVER THE SHOES CAN BE WORN WITHOUT DOING THIS.
