An important work on the Revolution and included in the Biblioteca Nacional's Memoria chilena bibliography of La Guerra Civil de 1891. Hervey was sent to cover the revolution by the London Times, which then recalled him when his reporting showed a strong bias towards the administration of its president, Balmaceda.
