Working principle of air-liquid booster pump
Air-liquid booster pump is the abbreviation of air-driven liquid booster pump, which is an automatic reciprocating pump powered by compressed air. Gas-liquid booster pump uses a large-diameter gas and small-diameter hydraulic plunger connected together in the structure, using the area ratio of the two pistons to generate the pressure ratio. The gas-liquid booster pump has a two-position four-way gas-controlled slide valve and two two-position two-way pilot valves (firing pins) together to form an automatic reversing mechanism, the two two-position two-way pilot valves are controlled by the collision of the driving to switch it on and off, and the two pilot valves are constantly filling and discharging the gas in the control chamber of the slide valve, so that the compressed air enters into the front and back chambers of the driving chamber alternately, thus realizing the continuous work of the pump. When the driving moves upward, the liquid is sucked into the pump, at this time the inlet check valve opens and the outlet check valve closes. When the moves downward, a certain pressure will be formed on the liquid side, and this pressure will close the inlet check valve and open the outlet check valve.
The area ratio of the two pistons produces a pressure ratio (boost ratio), through which the maximum output pressure can be calculated. High
pressure ratio produces a high outlet pressure. The numbers in the model number indicate the rated pressure ratio of the model, while the technical data indicate the actual pressure ratio of the pump. The outlet pressure can be set by means of a simple gas pressure reducing valve. Pressure ratio = gas drive pressure = outlet pressure.
Han Perry gas-liquid pressurization precautions for use
1. Installation position
In principle, HANPARIS liquid pumps can be installed in any position, vertical installation of seals installed in a better service life.
2. Please make sure that the fittings and tubes installed are within the pressure range of the pump.
3. Drive Air Quality Requirements
The drive air connection is located outside the slide valve chamber. In any case, it is necessary to install a compressed air filter and a water separator.
Since the liquid pump is treated with grease lubrication, there is no need to install an air lubricator. If an air lubricator has been used once, the design pressure range for the drive air of a Hampere air-liquid booster pump: PL = 1.5-10 bar (14.5-145 psi).
Particles: Maximum particles 5u; Maximum particle concentration 5 mg/m3 Dew point: +10° = water content 9.4 g/m3 + 2*C = water content 5.6 g/m3 Oil content: 1.0-5 mg/m3 NOTE: When operating continuously with wet or high humidity gases, icing can occur and it is recommended that a water separator or drier be installed on the air de-energized drive line under these conditions.
If the drive air is too dry and the dew point is below -40°C, it is recommended to use an oil mist.
3. Drive air displacement requirements:
M series compressed air consumption of not less than 0.4 standard cubic meters / minute, G series compressed air consumption of not less than 0.8 standard cubic meters / minute.
4.Working temperature
The standard temperature range is from -20°C to +80°C. For short-term operation, the maximum operating temperature can be up to +80°C. If the pumps are used at outdoor temperatures of 0°C or below, they should be protected against freezing.
5. Medium to be used
The selection of pumps should take into account the medium used by the customer, because the nature of the medium determines the requirements for sealing materials and wetted parts. Standard design for pressurized hydraulic oil or water.
