A very unique Vintage Sutherland Table.

 

 

A charming small table with automatically supported leaves.

 

  This is a lovely example of an early Vintage to Edwardian drop leaf Sutherland solid Oak table believed to be made around C1930. This table unusually is equipped with 2 lift up leaves which has a simple metal mechanism which automatically supporting the leaves when lifted, pushing the tab underneath simply lowers the leaves down. This great mechanism has 'patent approved for' stamped into it. This charming table has been fully stripped and re-polished in a lovely Medium English brown Oak colour, originally it was much darker.

 

This table has a very small form yet is quite versatile from having 2 drop-down leaves making it an ideal occasional, hall, side or sofa table. The table incorporates twin turned supports to a simple stretcher rail and finishes to shaped feet either side. This rare and petite table is in beautiful restored condition, solid with no joint movement and the tops are flat with no bowing or twisting.

 

Please note; Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character.
