Hard to overstate the superiority of the images this camera is capable of in the right hands (not mine), but the difference made by the full frame sensor (even at only 12.8MP) is something to behold. Designed for advanced amateurs, the body oozes quality and is built like a tank with what Canon describe (without apparent sarcasm) as a "lightweight body made of magnesium alloy". Almost overwhelmingly customisable.
