Shapes can vary from round to long and thin. They are roughly sorted by length but not shape, so expect some variation.
These are naturally dried and unprocessed. They will still have rough spots and some bark.
They are whole & undrilled.
Perfect for carving, slicing, ivory inlays, jewelry making, and more. The nuts will vary slightly in size, shape, weight, and color. All tagua is inspected before shipment to ensure the highest quality possible. The picture is an example, but not the actual item. Your tagua will be randomly selected in the size range.
- Small nuts measure 1-3/8” (35mm) - 1-3/4" (45mm) long
- Medium nuts measure 1-3/4” (45mm) - 2-1/8" (55mm) long
- Large nuts measure 2-1/8” (55mm) - 2-1/2" (65mm) long
- Extra Large nuts measure longer than 2-1/2" (65mm)
- Nuts will vary in size, shape, weight, and color.
About Tagua:
Keep in mind: All tagua will have a small hollow area or crack in the center where the inner fluid used to be. This is left behind after the nut dries and hardens. They also each have an area where the stem was attached that will have a slight indentation. These are both normal and unavoidable but are good to keep in mind when working with them. Smaller nuts are likely to have smaller hollow areas. Tagua is a popular earth-friendly alternative to ivory.
