Here's The Run Down:

This is a very light and great playing Early To Mid 1970s Burns Flyte 4 String Bass Guitar that's in very good condition overall for its age and definitely a super cool guitar that you don't see everyday. The original electronics all operate perfectly and sound great without issue. The guitar has a working truss rod, has very good action and plays perfectly from one end of the finger board to the other as it sits. It is used and vintage, so you will see signs of use, age and play as you would expect. Flaws will consist of finish discoloring (as these do), dings, chips, scratch's/scuffs, finish checking etc (see pics). The finish is original with no signs of refinishing under black light. The frets do show some wear and you will see wear along the edges of the fingerboard, but plays perfectly as is. There is light to average buckle rash on the back of the body (see pics). If your looking for a Light Weight, Super Cool & Vintage 4 String Bass that's a pleasure to hang around your neck, this would make a great addition to your collection!

Although I think its set up great, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility and cost to have it set up to your liking..  The neck is straight and the truss rod operates as it should. All electronics are original and described above.

The included original hard case is in very good usable condition without issue. It fits the guitar properly and all latches/hinges and handle operate as they should with the exception of the middle latch not being present. Both locking latch ends are fine, No key.

Some Info From The Web:

In 1973 Burns hooked up with an outfit in Newcastle and began to work on guitars to be sold with the brand name “Burns UK Ltd.” There, the Conchorde / Flyte was developed and introduced in 1974. Basically, the guitars were made by Shergold and the electronics by Re-An. The Burns Flyte was a pretty radical design with symmetrical, bi-level, swept-wing body styling and sharply pointed headstock - very evocative of a certain supersonic aircraft of the period. It certainly didn’t look much like anything else doing the rounds at the time.

Burns UK lasted until 1977 and only the Flyte really found a few buyers, Its design allegedly proving popular among glam rock performers of the time, such as Slade and Marc Bolan (although Dave Hill reportedly sold his unplayed, and Bolan’s was actually given away as a prize in a competition …). Mind you, the Australian band Sherbet appeared to have made an album featuring Flytes.
