A suspense gothic romance thriller set in the 1970s. Strange happenings are related to a violent and tragic event that took place four and a half centuries ago.


Velda Johnston (1912–1997) was an American writer of Gothic Romance novels. She also wrote under the pseudonym Veronica Jason. She was raised and educated in Pasadena, California where she sold her first short story as a high school student. She went on to UCLA on a scholarship, where she majored in journalism and wrote articles for the UCLA newspaper


Condition: NEAR FINE/VG


The book is in NEAR FINE condition. Gentle rubbing of spine tips and a few stains on covers else FINE. Interior is clean, bright, crisp and free of writing or wear.


The dust jacket is in VERY GOOD condition - unclipped and colorful - light rubbing and edge wear with some light edge wear, a few small tears and areas of sun toning and a few areas of soiling.
