This is a 'Cesca' armchair, model B64, originally designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928. These particular examples were seemingly manufactured by Knoll in the 1970s. Some may have been produced by Thonet during a similar time. The listed price includes one B64, and we have several available for purchase individually. We acquired nineteen chairs from the same architectural office, very close to Knoll's factory. The classic design features a chromed-steel tubular cantilever base, and has a caned seat and back encased in a frame of beech. We can gladly send photos of the exact chairs prior to shipping for approval if desired.

Each Cesca chair measures 23.5 inches long, 23.5 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. The seat height is 18 inches. Their chromed-steel cantilever bases are in great condition with no pitting, and only minor scratches on the bottom of the frames. The caning is also in good condition, having no holes or fray. The beech wood frames show minor scuffs and scrapes at corners. Overall, these chairs are in very good condition with light wear. Please see photos.

The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction. The listed shipping cost is an estimate, though we can likely stay below that number for most areas of the country. If you win the item, we can discuss shipping options, prices, etc. and we will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. We work with a shipper locally who takes great care in their work and has been complemented often on their packing and shipping quality.
