Listed for sale is a very rare and early tulip dining table from pedestal collection, designed by Eero Saarinen and produced by Knoll Associates. This example retains an original Knoll Associates label with the 575 Madison Avenue label noted, dating it to the 1950s (Knoll's showroom was located at this address during the 1950s). Importantly, the tulip tables were not introduced until 1957, making it clear that this is in fact a very early example. The table was ordered with a white enameled cast iron base (much heavier than modern examples) and a polished white top. The original top is in terrific condition, as is the base. Both show only minor wear from use over the years.

The table measures 28.5 inches tall by 36 inches in diameter.

The buyer may pick up the furniture, have it shipped by our shipping partners (buyer will pay for full shipping cost, though will not have to arrange it), or discuss potential delivery within reason following the end of the auction. The listed shipping cost is an estimate, though we can likely stay below that number for most areas of the country. If you win the item, we can discuss shipping options, prices, etc. and we will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. We work with a shipper locally who takes great care in their work and has been complemented often on their packing and shipping quality.
