1976 Nicos Zographos Saronis Leather and Oak Sofa from Hugh Stubbins Library Princeton
Listed for sale is a leather and oak Nicos Zographos Saronis sofa from 1976, which came directly from a Hugh Stubbins (Architect) designed library at a notable ivy-league institution. Additional provenance will be disclosed at time of sale. This design was introduced in 1962 as a lounge chair and was soon transformed into a sofa after 1966. This sofa was acquired along with two matching armchairs, which will be featured in another listing. The pieces were originally specified by Hugh Stubbins' firm for the project and were purchased from a university associate directly. The sofa measures 30 inches tall by 30 inches deep and 76.25 inches wide. The arm height is 20.5 inches tall. The leather is soft and pliable with very little wear. The wood frame is in very good to excellent condition as well. Overall, this piece is in nice shape with some light wear and patina.
