This is a scarce model CH45 Rocking Chair, designed by Hans Wegner in 1965, and manufactured by Carl Hansen & Søn. This example was manufactured in Denmark circa mid-1970s. Its form was inspired by the Shaker rockers that were designed earlier in the 20th century. The chair’s construction includes supportive horizontal back slats and still possesses its original danish cord seat. The wood is in wonderful condition and has developed a lovely warm patina over the years. The seat is in very good condition as well, with some wear as shown, though very nice overall.

This rocking chair measures 42 inches tall, 33 inches deep and 23.75 inches wide. It has a seat height of 16 inches. The chair is in very good condition, but remains a vintage piece and may show signs of wear. See photos.
