Kenny Boyer was a wonderful player for the St. Louis Cardinals.  A National League MVP in 1964.  An All-Star for seven seasons. A five-time Gold Glove winner. He was named Team Captain in 1959 and was the player his teammates looked up to.  A member of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall-of-Fame.  His number 14 was retired in 1984.

Ken passed away in 1982 at age 51 from lung-cancer. Growing up in Southwest Missouri as I did, Ken was "My Guy", and the Boyer family was legendary.
