Two title pages with slightly different content, the first in red and black, each with a similar small woodcut decoration. Lightly toned, sporadic foxing, a few smudges mostly on the first title-page, pages 225/226 has loss of upper free corner (about a quarter of the text missing on each page). Contemporary light brown calf, lightly rubbed and marked covers with simple gilt decoration on edges, brown spine-label with gilt lettering, simple gilt decoration to spine. Armorial book-plate on front paste-down for Henry Merrick Hoare, banker.
