Vintage Kitten Cat Ceramic Figurine Playing/Pouncing on Blue Ball White & BlackCurled up black tipped tail so cute. Green eyes, pink nose & mouth.
Measures approximately 6 inches long including tail & about 1 1/2 inches across base.
This exact cat is the book Collectible Cats, Book II, Page 203, ©1996. Book states "Porcelain, no mark, 1950s, 6 1/2 long, $35.00." A kind cat collector told me that it is by Richard Simmons Pottery, 1950's, Los Angeles California, named Mitzi, mold #2093. Also told me that the spot of glaze on the base is one of his telltale marks (no stamp on bottom or may have had silver foil).
No fault noted.
Currently there are a lot of cats listed in oldersbetter's store because an estate lot of a cat collector was purchased well over 20 years ago.
