and tear . Record will show play , possibly scratches . Still playe

through fine . 

P - Cover very wrinkled and worn , marks , tears creases . Record

will have definite surface noise . Scratches on the vinyl .

ALWAYS WASH JAPAN DIRECT RECORDS . MILDEW 

IS USUALLY SURFACE NOISE SOURCE . One can't see it but it's there . Just like Windex or Discwasher . One gets a crackle effect . But the record looks clean , quite often.
