ABOUT OUR DEEP CARVE PROCESS

These memorabilia pieces consists of glass which, when complete, produces a RICH look via deep blast engraving. Each item is hand DEEP CARVED TO .5MM. This is NOT a chemical process. The development of your order consists of the following steps-

1. Item to be carved is first primed and any impurities are removed.

2. Mask (stencil) of the design is created with a proprietary film. The film is cut using a highly concentrated electric beam. Our masks can capture detail less than 1mm.

3. Mask is applied to your item where it is then, for a second time, cleared of any foreign object which may impair a crisp image on the item being carved.

4. With the mask securely adhered to the item, high pressure silicone-carbide, also known as carborundum, creates a deep carved image. The image is generally .3-.5 mm deep.

5. The mask and any residual silicon carbide are then meticulously removed from the product.

6. A final thorough ultrasonic bath is applied to the item and inspected.
