I will combine shipping on orders where feasible. If there are any issues with an order or any other questions, please message me directly. Media mail delivery is sometimes much slower than the estimate. There is nothing I can do about that. I'm offering priority mail as an alternative. It's faster and more reliable, but unfortunately, more expensive.

487 pages, plus some reviews attached at back. 8.1 inches x 5.75 inches.

The author, Charles Robinson was the first governor of the state of Kansas. This copy was inscribed by his wife Sara Robinson and donated to the Chicago Historical Society in 1898. There is a donor's bookplate on front pastedown and a few other Society markings. Text portion is unmarked and in good condition, with pages moderately age-tanned. Noted one page with bottom corner fold. There are some reviews pasted into the back of the book, which were evidently put in place as promotions when the book was new. These are loosely attached and brittle on their edges.

The cover is in good condition. Cover hinges are attached, but loose due to splits on copyright page and rear hinge. Binding is good throughout text portion. Book is very usable, and text is very readable, keeping in mind that the hinges are fragile and need support.
