Like its larger counterpart, E. horizontalis mini originates from the Amazon region of South America, specifically the shaded areas of marsh woods and temporarily flooded forests.This plant has similar characteristics to E. horizontalis, with its horizontally growing leaf blades that are longish-oval in shape.
