1961 Mały Modelarz Digital Reprint - BTR-152 Armored Personnel Carrier Model

Description: Now available is a digitally regenerated reprint of the December 1961 "Mały Modelarz" issue, professionally restored by the League of Defense of the Country (LOK). This edition focuses on the BTR-152 armored personnel carrier, a pivotal vehicle in military history. Ideal for model vehicle enthusiasts and collectors, this reprint offers a unique opportunity to recreate a piece of Cold War-era military technology.

Model Information:

BTR-152 Background: Developed in the post-WWII era, the BTR-152 was introduced to the Soviet Army in 1950. Produced until 1962, around 12,400 units were made in various versions. Powered by a 110 HP six-cylinder carburetor engine, it could transport up to 17 troops with a crew of two – a commander and a mechanic-driver. The BTR-152's well-shaped armor was effective against small-caliber weapons, and its rear manholes facilitated troop deployment. Despite its exposed landing compartment and soldier-operated 7.62 mm machine gun, the BTR-152 was a staple in Soviet mechanized divisions during the 1950s and 1960s, seeing action in Hungary (1956) and Czechoslovakia (1968), and was widely exported to Warsaw Pact and Third World countries.

Reprint Features:

This digital reprint offers a detailed and historically accurate modeling experience of the BTR-152 APC. It is a challenging and rewarding project for both experienced and novice model builders, providing insight into military vehicle design and history.

Add this unique and educational piece to your collection and enjoy the experience of bringing a piece of military history to life.
