This is a handsome oiled-walnut dining set designed by Bertha Schaefer for M. Singer & Sons in 1952 and produced in Italy for the Singer Modern collection. The set includes a large ovoid-shaped dining table in walnut that has two additional leaves. It has 5 accompanying chairs.

The table without leaves measures 60 inches long, 42 inches wide, and 29 inches high. Each leaf is about 12 inches wide, therefore extending the table size to 84 inches. Each chair measures inches 22 inches deep, 18 inches wide, and 33 inches tall. They have a seat height of 18 inches. The tabletop has some marks, and the legs show some scrapes and scuffs. The chairs are in good shape lest for some scratches near feet, and some loose threads & rips to upholstery. New upholstery is recommended. One of the chairs appears to have been repaired in the past, though is structurally sound. Overall, this set is in good vintage condition with signs of wear and use. Please see photos.
