Ancient Chines vessel form, used during ancestor worship ceremonies for warming wine.
This example is likely to be a vintage reproduction and is priced as such - although I have no way to determine its actual age.
The body is ovoid and stands on three splayed triangular legs. It has a long curved spout on one side and a wide flange on the other. There is a handle on one side. Decorative elements adorn four panels around the body of the vessel.
