Jesus and a Cobalt Lavabo - LARMS Porcellane D'Italia Signed 925 Sagni - Marked / Signed 925 / Sagni -This is a religious type hanging statue / wall pocket. It has little wear. It represents a hanging water container called a lavabo. The piece is approximately 6.25 inches Tall X 3.25 inches Wide X 1.5 inches Deep. It weighs 8.50 Ounces.
This decorative piece has an arch with the central figure of Christ with a pleasant smile, His head is surrounded by a halo. He is hand-rendered in porcelain with a matte over-glaze of .925 silver. The arch is colored in a Cobalt Blue Glaze with the white portions of unglazed porcelain. The back of the piece has the incised logo: LARMS Porcellane- D'Italia against the white unglazed porcelain. The lavabo is attached to the front and is blue-glazed. At the top of the arch is a hole for hanging in a prayerful area of your home.
I found this in an old converted barn hanging in a dark corner. I believe this is a unique item, I've never found one like it before.
