This puppet has the original rod as you will see in the photos. There is riding on the rod which you will see in the photos as well. It gives the character’s name (Sita), who she was, (wife of Rama,) as well as when it was manufactured (Dec 1989,) and where it was manufactured (Central Java)

Please examine photos carefully. There is some damage to the head of this piece. There are a couple of chips to the paint and you will seed in the side profile pictures, but the biggest damage is to the nose of the figure itself. Also, you will see in the photos my finger, pointing to what appeared to be a couple of burn holes in the dress in the back.the figure does not smell like smoke, but again is very old and very well used as you can tell from the soiling on the stick handles. The character does not come with a stand, and I improvised a stand for these photos. With the rod inserted from the top of the head to the bottom of the rod, it stands 17 inches. The rod will be separated as you see in the photos for shipping purposes.
