This is a beautiful watch which is ready to wear everyday or stash in your collection.

This has very 1965 classic styling.  People would have said you were a "real sport" or "sporty" if you wore this watch back then.  These days, however, it is considered more of a luxury watch.

Built by the legendary Movado company, the 11 1/4 ligne movement has a 47 hour power reserve and operates at 21,600 VPH.  This automatic self-winding watch has been serviced by an AWCI 21st Century Certified Master Watchmaker.  It has been made water resistant again, has a new crystal, crown, and stem and has been completely dismantled down to every screw, checked under a microscope, properly lubricated, and adjusted.  

It appears these watches were sold in the USA during the time when Congress put up tariffs on foreign made watches (the last American watch factory closed in 1969).  However, this watch was manufactured entirely in Switzerland and may have even been sold in Europe.

The watch comes with the old Movado signed crown and stem (in a bag) and has the Speidel Twist-O-Flex bracelet (band).  Our watchmaker really dislikes those kind of expando bracelets so it has been fitted with a brand new Hadley-Roma genuine lizard strap (band) and new spring bars.  It really looks great.

The watch is 33.5mm in diameter.

 This watch shows very few signs of wear or damage and was obviously cared for.  Examine the movement and you will see that it is not rusty or badly damaged except that some unschooled person inscribed a number on the self-winding bridge which is very small and means nothing to anybody except the person who put it there.  It definitely does not subtract from the beauty of the movement.

This watch is running very nicely, and appearing to keep good time.

In 2016 it costs $477.00 to have this watch serviced (our watchmaker was a Movado service center)
