This is a large medieval style tapestry which is 8' 7 X 6' 10 ft.

This is a reproduction of a famous tapestry now in the Musee du Louvre which is part of a set of 12 tapestries depicting the 12 month of the year.  This one for Septembre is called "Le mois de Septembre ou le signe de la Balance" from the set called "Les Chasses de Maximilien".

The deer, thinking it was escaping, threw itself into the water of a pond. But two hunters, one of whom is clinging to the deer's antlers, have already caught him up with several dogs. On the bank, the rest of the pack waits impatiently, while noble riders enjoy the spectacle. Beyond the pond, we can see castles.

The back is with a fabric and has hooks.
