Here are six 1 1/4 inchvvery unusual vintage cut steel buttons that date much later than the typical Victorian cut steel button. Like the earlier buttons, they have cut steel facets, but here there are only 4 unusually large facets - 2 oblong ones, with a central traditional round facet in the button's center. At first, the textured background behind the raised facets looks plain, but look closely under a bright light - see the first photo of the single button in my fingers - and a detailed design of trailing flowers and stems appears. The striking buttons, like many of their older counterparts,  are not in perfect condition - some have spots of discoloration on the shiny rims, and others have some wear on the floral background. There is also one with some rust on the back. Still really special and unusual buttons.
