Matted Gilded Frame & Wavy Glass Advertising Sign Manufactured by G [Gustav] Roesicke, located on Spruce Street NYC(1840's-1860)


Sign was displayed at N H Mowry Establishment in Providence Rhode Island. (Cor Pine and Richmond sts). 1858-65


Rare Piece of Civil War/Early Gilded Age Americana, NYC & Providence. Original Cut Nails in Frame, Original Cut Reinforcing Pin Nail with Brass Thread Hanger. Glass is intact and looks period. Matting is in good shape with some bruising. Frame shows modest Gilt delamination. Please See Photos on Condition.


One Pin Nail is a replacement. Removing the Pin Nails and Cleaning the interior Glass would improve Clarity. We have not attempted.
