Massive Bundle Of Paperwork St Monica's Magdalen Home For Fallen Women Harrogate
This very large collection of paperwork pertains to St Monica's and St Agnes homes in Harrogate. The homes opened in 1902 and closed in 1969 and accommodated unwed mothers and 'fallen women', St Agnes was a baby home. The papers are a mixture of financial papers, accounts, correspondence, legal, buildings and fundraising. I have attempted to research both homes and the 'Association for moral welfare' than ran the homes and have come up with next to nothing!! It seem the majority of information is in this collection.
