They can represent you, someone you know, an intention, or a deity/spirit. The use of these dolls dates back to ancient European folk magic. Although they were often used for baneful magic purposes, they are commonly used for positive magic such as protection, prosperity, love, and spiritual guidance. White can be used interchangebly as a substitute for other colours such as green for prosperity. It is also useful for spellwork that involves stopping gossip.

Created with positive intentions, this doll is clothed in white repurposed fabrics, and is bound with jute twine. The unique face is hand-sculpted from polymer clay to form a skull-like face with a branded cross on the forehead. Yarn hair and feathers accent the creepy appearance of the doll. Use on an altar, in ritual, to hang over a doorway, or as a special house-warming gift!
Spiritually cleanse the doll through incense smoke, name the doll, and give it a purpose. Light a white candle, and place in the centre of a circle of sea salt. You can attach personal concerns and other items that connect the targets energy to the doll by placing them in a small organza bag and attaching it to the doll. Focus your energy on the doll, and speak to it. Pins are not needed for use of this doll, and for poppet magic in general, but can be used if this resonates more with your magical practice.
