This set of flatware from Reed & Barton, featuring an oyster fork and olive spoon, comes in its original crimson velvet lined cardboard box. The pieces are probably made of silver-plate and showcase a style similar to Federal but not an exact match.  Though the age of the set is unknown and research on the pattern has been unsuccessful, it is a beautiful addition to any collection. Perfect for use or display, this set is a rare find for any silver or antique enthusiast. The thicker cardboard box suggests at least the 1920’s but I am not certain and certainly not an expert in this field.

The back of the oyster fork and olive spoon both say “Pat. Appld For” I wish I knew what the name and exact age of this pattern is so if anyone wished to message me with that information, it would be useful. Regardless, it is a beautiful matched set and extremely rare to find it in its original box.

There is some tarnish areas that could use a polishing. There are also a few light surface scratches.

Each piece of flatware is 5.75” long.
The box is 7” x 3” x 1.5” approximately.  It is embossed Reed &Barton 1824 on the top.
