VCR cycles is delighted to bring back to the market this mint condition large sized gents Graham Weigh road bike.

Made using Reynolds 531 Millennium steel tubing which is the same as the trusty standard 531 but the Millennium version but has reinforced or thicker ends allowing it to be welded directly without the need for lugs.

It still gives the same unparalleled ride quality that you only get with a steel frame but with a slicker more modern appearance.

As you can see from the photos, this bike has had very little use.

The frame is free from any dents or damage and the paint is pretty much perfect except for one or two tiny chips that have been touched in.

It’s fitted with a full Campagnolo 18 speed groupset to include:

Veloce ergo levers.

Veloce front & rear mechs.

Veloce double chainset with 52/39 rings and 170mm arms.

Mirage brake calipers.

Veloce 9 speed cassette with 13/28t.

Veloce Bottom bracket.

Campagnolo C9 chain.

The wheels are Campagnolo Khamsin and these are shod with excellent condition Michelin Speedium 2 black/grey 23c tyres.

The cockpit consists of ITM steel 130mm reach stem, ITM Pro Ergal 260 bars wrapped in new Widget non slip gel bar tape.

A very nice Selle Italia Team Edition saddle sitting on an alloy Aero profile seatpost and an Elite bottle cage to finish this stunning Deeside built classic road bike.

The frame measures 59cm from the centre of the BB to the top of the seat tube.

It’s 58cm from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the headtube.

A stunning bike in stunning condition that’s value will only ever go up!

As a small business trying survive in a very turbulent and depressed market we feel need to explain why this beautiful bike has been Re-listed.

This is due to a “free return scammer” fabricating a story so he didn’t have to pay to return costs for the bike as after a week of ownership he decided he didn’t want it.

He claimed the “left crank arm unwound itself and fell off”

It’s a square Taper bottom bracket so pretty much impossible to “fall off” without becoming lose first and thus giving the rider plenty of time to rectify.

The left hand crank arm was returned to us without a single scratch or mark as you would expect from it falling off at speed, the buyer even returned the retaining bolt which would have surely been lost somewhere along the roadside.?

The buyer also complained upon delivery that the cables where to short for him to adjust the stem height and it therefore was unsafe to ride.

He agreed to a partial refund of £40 to buy new cables but he didn’t change them, he kept the money instead so a dishonest guy from the start.

In addition to the £40 refund we also supplied 2 x new inner gear cables to the buyer which HE fitted and then proceeded to ride the bike with approx 7” of loose gear cable flapping around from the front and rear derailleurs!! 🤷🏻‍♂️ (photos of the dangerously fitted cables have been kept and can be shown if required).

Moving on from the terrible experience this guy gave us, the bike is now back up for sale.

The bottom bracket and chainset have both been checked by us and independently checked by a professional bike mechanic with over 30 years in the trade and no issues found.

All inner and outer cables have now all been replaced (safely).

The bike was bought new by it’s one owner from Graham Weigh and as you can see from the lack of wear to the chainrings, lever hoods, braking surfaces etc and the general overall excellent condition of the bike you can tell it’s had very little use and all equipment/components fitted are original from new.

The one and only negative feedback we have ever received and by far the most awkward obnoxious customer we have ever dealt with.

Please ignore his malicious feedback as it’s totally untrue and unwarranted.

Thanks for reading this and we hope we have been able to show our side of the situation and can continue to trade as a small business without our reputation/feedback being tarnished by “that one customer you wish you’d never sold to!”

Pick up from Liverpool L25 postcode or we can box and courier the bike to any UK mainland address for £35.

Please note this doesn’t include Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Guernsey or any parts of Ireland with a UK Postcode.
