An Original Antique British Oil Lamp ceramic font Converted to an Electric Table Lamp.
This interesting and decorative lamp base was originally part of an Oil Lamp base dating back to the 1880's.
It has a round ridged base shape and is made from ceramics with a non repeating varied finish of hand painted floral patterns.
At the bottom is an old painted wooden base which was part of the original conversion.

PLEASE NOTE - The lamp shade shown is for description only and is not included.
The lamp has been fitted with a modern earthed switched bulb holder and earthed white modern wiring with a moulded plug.
The bulb holder has a shade ring but no shade is included.
The lamp is also fitted with modern cable protection and a new cable stay under the new felt base.
The lamp takes one bayonet fitting bulb.

Condition...well used but sound....Points to note.........
1. Some small tarnish marks to the metal parts, small marks on the ceramics from manufacture and decoration.
2. Wiring is new & good, earthed and the lamp works well.
3.Bulb holder modern and earthed.
4. Would make a great lamp for a period setting with a pleated shade fitted.
5. Shades and Bulbs are NOT INCLUDED
