1950's Magnatone-made and Leilani-branded purple pearloid lap steel guitar.

Beautiful pearly purple color. Took it to a professional to be tested before listing, and it works properly. Includes case and a Stevens tone bar.

Manufactured by Magnatone in the USA, the Leilani brand was distributed by Gourley of Santa Monica from the 1940s through the mid '50s.

Condition: It looks great for its age and compared to some other guitars like this that I've seen. It has a broken string and wear on the label and had tape stuck to three of the struts, which caused about three chips in the paint. Has flaws, dents, and scratches from age and use. Has minor pealing on the back edge. The felt on the back looks nice at first glance, but if inspected closely, it is worn, especially around the edges. Overall, despite its flaws that are appropriate for its age, it's a beautiful instrument. Its case is in very poor condition visually and structurally, including a broken hinge and crumbling of the cardboard. However, it has done its job to protect the guitar while being stored, but the case will continue to deteriorate, so a replacement case might be needed if the guitar will be transported or used often. Please inspect photos very closely and feel free to ask questions or for more pictures before purchasing. Sold as is as a used vintage item.

It will be packaged with much consideration and care but might be shipped in recycled packaging.
