This is a rare collection of five tapes containing The Kraft Music Hall radio broadcasts from 1955

These are 5 inch tapes recorded in Half Track Mono format at 3 3/4 ips

These tapes came directly from the estate of Rudy Vallee.  All of the writing on the boxes is by Rudy Vallee

It sounds like these reels were made from the original discs as you can hear a needle being placed onto a disc.  The sound however, is not as good as I would expect being from original discs.  They don't have a lot of high frequency detail, and they are a bit over recorded and there is occasional changes in volume levels.  Having said this, they are very enjoyable, and these are most likely the only surviving copies of these radio shows

I could not find reference to any surviving copies of these radio shows, very rare!

Rudy Vallee is the host of these radio shows broadcast from The Park Sheraton Hotel in New York City.  Excellent, interesting interviews of the guests by Rudy Vallee.  Programs are approximately 60 minutes each, the commercials were not recorded

There is wear and light staining on the boxes which is visible in the photos.  The tape itself is in very good condition and all tapes play with no issues such as squeaking or leaving residue on the tape heads
