What an absolutely amazing piece of Religious social history!!

Welcome to the sale of these rare Methodist Church items. These are 100% genuine artefacts that have been used in Religious Services.

Please try and find another set, in such fabulous unmarked condition, with this amount of provable history. If you look carefully at the pictures above, you will see the Font and Williamson Shield actually in situ, in Harton Methodist Church, where they proudly sat, for very nearly 100 years. 

What IS included in this sale:-

BEAUTIFUL WHITE AND GREY, ONE PIECE, DEDICATED, MARBLE FONT.

Presented to Harton Methodist Church by Miss Norah Williamson on 21/04/1937. In absolutely fantastic "as new" condition, the lettering on the inscription is as good as the day it was done. The one piece marble is pristine for its age. 

The dedication reads:- " JESUS said, suffer the little children to come unto me".

WILLIAMSON SHIELD.

Presented to Harton Methodist Sunday School by Miss Norah Williamson in approx 1934. In very good vintage condition, the engraving reads:- "to be held annually for the best decorated tray, Harvest festival". The large silver plaque is hallmarked and stamped sterling Silver. It has 16 smaller winners plaques which date from 1934 until 1956. Obviously the Second World War years 1939-45 are missing. The Shield has a makers mark of "GRANT & SON" silversmith NORTH SHIELDS. Would look stunning polished up.

PEWTER COMMUNION SET.

A vintage early 1980s, eight piece, West German portable travelling Pewter Communion Set for Priests sick calls or last rites. Overall in very good vintage condition. The set comprises of:-

*Pewter Crucifix with Ebonised inlays   *A pair of Pewter Candlesticks   *A round Pewter Paten with inverted lip   *Round glass Chalice with removable Pewter base.  *Round Pewter Cruet with base   *Large oval Pewter engraved tray.
