In 2018 a Dutch supermarket called Plus teamed up with Nintendo to release a special Mario Kart promotion.

With a certain amount of money spend you would get a normal Mario Kart Character Coin, and with one type of product you would get a deluxe gold Coloured Promo coin for a certain cup.

Not real gold obviously...you would think that was obvious, but still.

This promo ran for 4 weeks, and you could get 4 diffirent coins, this is one of the 4, namely the Shell Cup.
