For your consideration is this very rare, original Missouri National Guard Badge. It likely dates from the late 1870's to 1890's. I've never seen another like it, and couldn't find another example online. It's in excellent original condition, but does have some crude repair work on the reverse that incorporates a safety pin fastener. This repair appears to be older, and could likely be improved upon if the new owner desires. The front is in great shape, and the detail work and craftsmanship is exceptional.
