This sale is for a used original equipment  1968/69

MGB 2912cc cylinder head assembly.

This head came from an estate 

and specifics such as mileage are unknown.

Most importantly, the head has been sent to an 

automotive machine shop with an excellent 

reputation to be cleaned and checked.

The first dozen or so photos are after the head

was disassembled, cleaned and checked.

The last dozen or so photos are of the head

when it was taken out of storage.

The cylinder head is ready to be sent to a competent

shop for reconditioning.  It may need machining and/or 

parts replaced.

However it is a sound rebuildable core unit.

The head has NO cracks, NO damaged bolt holes,

NO stripped threads and NO previous repair.

NOTE: There is some pitting on the manifold side 

of the head caused by a failed manifold gasket.

A new gasket may remedy the issue. However,

the preferred course of action would be to remove

the manifold mounting studs and have the surface 

machined.

The valves, springs, retainers & split locks

are included and are in USED condition. Any or all 

may need replacement.
