Another wonderful thing from my parents Native American Collection, and recently out of storage. This is a lovely thing that needs to go to a good new home. I just dropped the price so hopefully somebody will take it and put it where it belongs.

An exquisite, very special, Plateau Indian Basketry Child's Cradle Board. This piece was entered in the "The Original American Indian & Western Relic Show, Los Angeles October 1978", by the owner of the piece at that time, and was the First Place Winner! 

Totally handmade, with the addition of an early, composition doll, with two, early glass bead necklaces around its neck. It is wrapped in an early gauze type material, which has been beautifully wrapped with leather lacing. The woven basketry Sun Shade, is beautiful, and attached at the sides as shown, has no breaks or damage and is a striking addition to this piece. It measures 24" long, and also has a old leather strap attached to the back, for hanging, I believe. It has wonderful, early glass and trade beads hanging on each side, with long hide fringe, along the top of the back, with a strong metal loop for hanging (all shown). Condition is excellent Antique, and very collectible. The hide shows expected light staining for its age, as well as surface wear to the face of the doll.

The unique design and excellent condition, makes this Cradle a rare and valuable addition to any fine collection of Native American Art and Artifacts. Whether you are a collector or simply appreciate the beauty of Native American culture, this cradle is a must-have!
