The Three Investigator #39: The Mystery of the Trail of Terror by M. V. Carey, based on characters created by Robert Arthur.

**VERY RARE HARDCOVER 1ST EDITION OF THIS TITLE IN THE HIGHEST GRADE I’VE EVER SEEN FOR IT!!!***

Published by Random House, copyright 1984, numberline on copyright page, Gibraltar Library Binding, white endpapers, illustrated front board. First edition, fourth printing.

ONE OF THE RAREST OF THE #29-#43 GLB HARDCOVERS - ONLY SOLD TO LIBRARIES.  This hardcover edition was made with reinforced hinges and sold exclusively to school libraries (the trade edition was in paperback). Therefore, almost all copies of this edition are ex-library books. Somehow, this copy escaped unscathed and has NO ex-library markings!

Condition: FINE & UNREAD - highest rated copy I’ve ever seen!

NOT a single ex-library mark or evidence of having ever been catalogued and shelved by a library let alone read by a child (exceptionally rare). No foxing, sunning, soiling, writing or bumped corners. Square spine with very firm hinges, joints and very tight, exceptionally clean, unread pages (have never seen this before!) Even the pages edges are exceptionally white and free of dust or age toning. Just some rubbing to the exterior binding covers, corners, edges, etc (as seen in the pictures), and particularly the spine tips, else VERY FINE, AS NEW.

An exceptional and remarkable copy of a VERY RARE hardcover Three Investigators title only distributed to libraries.

Please see pictures as they are an important part of the description information.
