Ceremonial Buddhist Formal Reversible Jacket–Ribbons, Embroidery & Floral Patterns –Unused

The Tibetan Jacket, a handmade work, boasts a unique combination of patterned and solid fabrics enhanced with ribbons, appliqué, and embroidery. The solid cloth lining to match (two in one jacket) makes this to wear as reversible, designed and made by Betty Ann Johnson, seamstress, with an attached old-style typewritten file card with description of her work. No evidence of any use, or its age, and appears unmarked, very clean and fresh. The style uses an array of colorful cloth fabric using many traditional Tibetan colors. It's length top to bottom is about 33" and width laying flat is 22", a medium to large fit. A handmade, professionally stitched one-of-a-kind Tibetan style garment appears to be a ceremonial piece of artwork, possibly for informal ceremony, religious use or a wedding, any event or special occasion. A truly unique well-made and unusual jacket.
