Lot of Three Original 1796 Engravings from G. Nicol, London

These three engravings are from "An Authentic Account of An Embassy from the King of Great Britain to the Emperor of China" published by G. Nicol, London, on April 12 1896.

Two of the engravings are based on the original art of William Alexander (1767-1816) and one is based on the original art of S. Edwards. (I could not find any info on him on the internet.) The engravings are credited to James Caldwell (1739-1818), William Skelton (1763-1848), and John Landseer (1762-1852).

They are titled A "Mandarin or Magistrate of Turon attended by his Pipe-Bearer," qpprox. 12 3/4 x 10 1/2 inches with borders (trimmed); "Natives of Cochin-China, Play at Shittlecock with their Feet, 14 x 12 1/4 inches (trimmed); and, "The Fire-Back Pheasant of Java," 18 5/8 x 14 inches (trimmed). All are in EX condition.
