Highly collectible mid-century ceramic bull / buffalo by the German ceramics manufacturer Otto

This iconic ceramic bull was designed by Kurt Tschörner (the famous designer of Ruscha Keramik, Germany) back in 1964, for his friend Otto Gerharz - the founder of Otto Keramik, Germany.
Otto Gerharz is the former Ruscha Keramik director and is celebrated for pioneering and developing glorious fat lava glazes. His small family-run ceramic manufactory has been producing iconic ceramic vases, planters, and figurines since the 1960s — including this amazing bull.

Each bull was handmade and handpainted in Germany, with the same materials. All the glazes are self-made at Otto Keramik and each piece leaving the manufacturing process is unique. This specific bull has been through two fires because the golden horns need a second separate manufacturing process. The bull comes with the usual felt bottom specific for Otto Keramik.

This statement ceramic bull/buffalo will steal the show in any habitat!
