India Reserve Bank, Gulf Issue 5 Rupees ND (1959-70) Pick R2 Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 6.12.2.1
At the time of cataloging, this banknote is tied with four others at the top of the PMG Population Report. The technical features are simply excellent, from pinpoint centering, wide margins, fresh colors, and totally uncirculated paper. This note is similar to that which was issued in India, except for the different color schemes. A rare type in any grade but especially desirable in this amazing grade. Sought after by Indian collectors, as well as Gulf collectors, as this note was a precursor to the national currencies which began issuance in the 1960s.
