Not often seen, especially in this stellar condition, the "Cld" Hamilton LANGDON!

Vintage Hamilton collectors know the Cld design was a breakthough of case design for Hamilton, making a "Cld" or "sealed" case effort.  Although not waterproof, this heavily robust case line was a significant improvement to the standard dress "snap" cases of the era.  The 1948 Langdon was an early adopter of this design, and later joined by about 18 different Hamilton models utilizing this case design. 10K yellow gold-filled case measures a healthy 37.25mm lug tip to lug tip, and over 29mm wide, not counting original crown.

This example is one of the earliest Langdons.  Has the rarer AGN or Applied Gold Numeral Dial. This extra-fine survivor has the great Hamilton Lancaster PA made 747 17J powerplant. One of my very favorite movements!

This example is incredible for an almost 75 year old watch! Brilliant white dial is amazing in condition which looks terrific. Numerals gleam!  10K Yellow gold filled case is beautiful with no distractions, just normal very light use marks and no wear.  (Please see photos). Acrylic crystal, clear, with no distractions.  Comes complete with a very nice NOS stitched brown leather strap, completing the early post-war look.  The excellent Hamilton 747 movement sparkles, having completed a full and proper service, including a fresh mainspring. This magnificent Langdon is ready for the wrist, and will surely provide another generation of stylish service keeping very nice vintage time.
