This is an original antique book print/plate from "A New Royal and Universal Dictionary of Arts and Sciences: or, Complete System of Human Knowledge"


Printed 1772, published by J. Cooke at Shakespear's Head, Pater-Noster Row, London.


It shows illustrations of Fountains and a Fulling Mill.


The engraving is on handmade 'laid paper'; the overall size of the page including margins is approx 10" wide x 14.75" tall (25cm x 37.5cm); the reverse side is blank.       

                                                                                                                                                                                    

There is age related wear, edge tears, creasing, staining/page discolouration - please study the photos carefully to ensure you are happy with the condition prior to bidding

A Georgian book plate over 240 years old; would make a nice framed piece or as an addition to an antique ephemera collection.
