PAUL F. ANDERSON BIOGRAPHY:

Paul F. Anderson has spent well over half of his life researching, writing, and delving into the creative legacy of Walt Disney. He began this interest in the mid-Seventies when his father gifted him with a copy of Christopher Finch’s Art of Walt Disney.  Over the next several years, he researched, studied, and wrote about the life and times of Walt Disney. This interest continued on through college and served as a subject for his Master’s Degree. As a recognized expert on Walt Disney and his works, he was contacted by PBS in 1989 to work on a television documentary exploring the history of animation. Starting as the “Disney historian” on the project, he began to interview many of the old-timers that had worked with Disney. In little time, he found himself serving as Associate Producer on the show, titled Cartoon Mania!  This work for PBS provided him with the opportunity and inspiration to preserve Disney history, which he does by interviewing many of the creative individuals that worked with Walt Disney.  Feeling a need, and a responsibility, for his work to be shared with others, Paul started a historical journal devoted to the creative legacy of Walt Disney titled Persistence of Vision, for which he served as editor and publisher. Paul has also traveled across the United States giving lectures and talks on Walt Disney, as well as to teach an occasional college class on Walt Disney in American Culture.

Born in Sheridan Wyoming in 1962, Paul currently lives near Salt Lake City, Utah.

Saturday’s Toys and Collectibles was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and media historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first online specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 15,000 coveted treasures since that time, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers and collectors throughout the globe.

Today, online offerings of archival keepsakes are presented in celebration of the times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately represented by "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a nod to the Sherman Brothers): "Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
