~Atlas Colored Maps Pennsylvania Crawford County History OIL REGION~

One of the most important early county atlases, with a wealth of information on America's first oil boom. The atlas shows the general region near Oil City and along the Allegheny River in northwestern Pennsylvania. 

Hardcover book is in very good condition, no issues. This was published by The Crawford Pennsylvania Historical Society in 1984 and is a reprint of the 1864 edition. Large size map book 16 x 19 inches. Bound in publisher's black cloth. Clean, unmarked pages. 56 pages that are including original old time local advertisements. Originally published in 1864 by F.W. Beers. On front cover upper left corner has some white scuffing.
