The Orion SkyView Deluxe combines a fine-tuned Newtonian optical system with a vastly improved equatorial mounting (hence the ‘Deluxe’ label), a gold-anodized aluminum tripod and a stellar array of top-quality accessories.
With twice the light-gathering capability of an 80mm refractor, the telescope has the versatility to display detailed images of solar system landmarks such as the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter, as well as of deep-sky luminaries like the Orion Nebula (M42), the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) and the Wild Duck Cluster (M11) in gorgeous detail.
The rock-stable mount ensures steady viewing even at high powers and the included polar alignment scope allows you to easily “track” the movement of astronomical objects, thereby keeping them from drifting out of the telescope’s field of view while you’re observing.
